Jennings President to Speak at Virginia Healthcare Conference

CHAPEL HILL, NC – April 12, 2012 – Dan Dunlop, president and CEO of Jennings, the Chapel Hill marketing and advertising firm, will be a featured speaker at this year’s Virginia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations Spring Conference (VSHMPR) in Virginia Beach on Thursday, April 19. The conference features nationally renowned speakers highlighting innovative approaches, creative strategies and motivating concepts in healthcare marketing.

On Thursday April 19 from 1:30 pm to 3 pm, Dunlop will deliver a presentation titled “Engaging Female Healthcare Consumers with Blogs and New Media.” The presentation will feature a case study on how two affiliated hospitals, Tufts Medical Center and Lowell General Hospital, developed a mommy blog and social media program to enhance their communication and engagement with area moms. The presentation will also provide a variety of examples of other hospital mommy blogs including those written by physicians, hospital employees and community members. Lastly, the presentation will show how to use blogs to help an organization achieve its business objectives.
