CHAPEL HILL, NC – November 15, 2012 – Jennings, the North Carolina-based healthcare marketing firm specializing in audience engagement, was recently honored with six awards in the 33rdAnnual Telly Awards. The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs as well as the finest video and film productions for online placement.

The Telly Awards competition was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world. The 33rd Annual Telly Awards received approximately 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries around the world.

“We are honored to have our clients recognized in this year’s Telly Awards competition,” said President and CEO of Jennings Dan Dunlop. “We feel exceptionally fortunate to receive their highest award, the Silver Telly, in this competition.”

Jennings received awards recognizing work created for two different hospitals and health systems:

Silver Telly:

  • Cooper University Hospital – “Heart” Television Commercial

Bronze Telly:

  • Cooper University Hospital – “Ortho” Television Commercial
  • Cooper University Hospital – “Neurology” Television Commercial
  • Vidant Health – “Voices of Vidant” Online Video
  • Vidant Health – “Say Hello to Vidant” Television Commercial

A prestigious judging panel of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10 percent of entries were chosen as winners of the Silver Telly, the highest honor. Approximately 25 percent of entries were chosen as winners of the Bronze Telly.

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Jennings’ accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
